Moore, Stockwell Repeat as All-NCAC Selections

2012 All-NCAC Men's Tennis Team

Sophomore Landon Moore and senior Ashley Stockwell, The College of Wooster's top tennis players, repeated as honorable mention picks in singles on the All-North Coast Athletic Conference Team for their respective gender, as announced by the NCAC on Tuesday.

Heading the men's lineup for the second consecutive season, Moore won six matches, four at No. 1 and two at No. 2 singles. He started the spring with three consecutive triumphs at No. 1, coming against Otterbein University, Gettysburg College, and Edgewood College, but later lost a series of close encounters, including a three-setter to Ohio Wesleyan University in the season finale.

Playing in the highly-challenging NCAA Div. III Central Region, Stockwell prevailed in three singles matches, including against Baldwin-Wallace College's No. 1 player and Heidelberg University's No. 2 on back-to-back days April 2-3. While she was honored for singles, Stockwell contributed 10 doubles wins with various partners, and raised her four-year win totals to 14 in singles (all at No. 1 or 2) and 31 in doubles.

Wooster's women's tennis team placed eighth in the NCAC and the men ninth.
