The College of Wooster played a number of close matches, but ultimately fell 9-0 on Saturday to North Coast Athletic Conference East Division foe Allegheny College during men's tennis action at D.J. Hard Memorial Courts in Wooster, Ohio.

Paul Thomas and Harrison Suttle of Wooster (5-11, 0-3 NCAC East) played a tight third doubles match before succumbing 8-5, then Nos. 3-6 singles were all relatively close, with each position eventually going to Allegheny (11-1, 2-0 NCAC East) on the scoreboard.

Suttle came closest to a point for the Fighting Scots, winning the first set 6-4, but then his foe at the fifth spot prevailed 6-2 in the second to force a third-set super tiebreaker which he also won, 10-5. Milo Saurman pushed his opponent at No. 3 (6-2, 7-5), as did Zack Rotter at No. 6 (6-2, 7-6), and Jacob Pine combined for six games at No. 4 (6-3, 6-3).

The schedule does not get any easier for Wooster, as it will travel to No. 2 ranked Kenyon College (15-3, 0-0 NCAC East) on Monday.
