The College of Wooster's men's tennis team posted a 4-0 record to start its spring break trip at Hilton Head Island, S.C., and Willy Nelson was a major player in the Fighting Scots' success, as he contributed towards six victories (three individual, three doubles) en route to his first-ever North Coast Athletic Conference Player-of-the-Week award.

In singles action, Nelson started the week with a match that advanced to a third-set super tiebreaker, which he won 10-8 over his Edgewood College opponent. Nelson's victories were more decisive later in the week, as he notched straight-set wins over the No. 1's at Lake Forest College, 6-3, 6-1, and Bloomsburg University, 6-2, 6-3.

Then at No. 1 doubles, Nelson and his partner Milo Saurman earned a 3-1 record, with their lone defeat coming by just two games (8-6).

Nelson, who was named all-conference (honorable mention) as a freshman last year, will look to lead another Wooster triumph Tuesday when it wraps up its spring break trip against the University of Wis.-Eau Claire at 8 a.m.
