The College of Wooster men's tennis team was selected an Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team for the first time in the 13-year history of the award and four of its players – Jack Buchan, Willy Nelson, Zack Rotter, and John Schulz – were recognized as ITA Scholar-Athletes, the governing body of collegiate tennis announced on Thursday.

The team honor, established in 2002, is presented to any ITA program with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.20 or above, while ITA Scholar-Athletes are varsity letterwinners with at least a 3.50 GPA who have been enrolled for at least two semesters.

Wooster was one of four North Coast Athletic Conference members to pick up the team award for the 2014 season, and its four individual honorees equaled the most of any NCAC school (with Allegheny College being the other).

For Rotter, a senior, it marked the second consecutive year he has been named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, while Nelson, a junior, led off the Fighting Scots' lineup in addition to excelling in the classroom.
