Freshman Titas Bera excelled during a challenging week in Orlando, Fla., as he went 8-1 over a six-day stretch, including 5-0 at No. 1 singles against NCAA Div. III competition, which netted him his first-ever North Coast Athletic Conference Player-of-the-Week award.

Bera competed in six singles matches on the week – all coming at the top spot in the lineup – beginning with a 7-5, 6-3 win over Wabash College on March 10.

His only setback came against NCAA Div. I Valparaiso University's Kyle Dunn by a narrow 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (10-8) margin. However, he got back in the win column later that day (March 11), as he handled a Lake Forest College opponent 6-3, 6-4 in the nightcap.

Next up, Bera cruised to a 6-4, 6-1 triumph against Ursinus College on March 12, and then two days later, he prevailed in a marathon match with Colorado College by set scores of 6-7 (6-8), 7-5, 10-4.

Finally, Bera powered past his adversary at Bethel (Minn.) University, 6-4, 6-4, to complete an impressive week.

Bera won three times in doubles action as well, each time with a different partner. The highlight came against Div. I Valpo, as Bera and Erik Lindberg were 6-3 victors at the No. 3 spot.
