 Titas Bera

Titas Bera of The College of Wooster men's tennis team picked up eight wins during the first week of the team's spring break trip in Orlando, earning the sophomore NCAC Men's Tennis Player-of-the-Week honors, as announced by the conference office on Monday.

Bera's week was highlighted by a 6-2, 6-0 rout over regionally-ranked Alex Boomgarden from Carthage College on Sunday.

In singles' play, Bera dropped two or fewer games in three matches during the week, including the Boomgarden match, as well as a 6-0, 6-1 win over Hamilton College on St. Patrick's Day.

In doubles' play Bera went 4-1 while teaming with senior Harrison Suttle in the second flight. The duo posted an 8-2 win over the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse to start the spring trip, a team that entered the week regionally-ranked in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Central Region.

Bera is the second Fighting Scot to be honored as the NCAC Men's Tennis Player-of-the-Week this season. Previously, first-year Kieran McTague took home the weekly honor on March 14.

Wooster plays three more matches in Florida, beginning with an 11:30 a.m. tilt against Grinnell College (13-3) on Tuesday.
