Scots Take Part in Invitational
Men's tennis hosts teams on new courts
The College of Wooster men's tennis team hosted the University of Findlay and John Carroll University on Sunday at the Wooster Invitational taking place on the new tennis courts on campus.
In singles play, first-year Ian Royse got on the board with his first collegiate victory, defeating Findlay's Cameron Davis 6-4, 6-1. Arnav Yadav won a tough match against Findlay's Maneo Gaborin 1-6, 7-6, 1-0 (6).
Sophomore Max Stratford defeated Ryan Waugaman from John Carroll, 6-1, 6-1. Classmate Bennett Dickerson also defeated Waugaman, 6-1, 6-1.
Junior Namit Misra ended up with the most success. He was a part of both doubles wins for Wooster.
First, he teamed with Stratford for an 8-6 win against Findlay's Davis and Cayden Stratford.
Misra then took another 8-6 win, this time with Yadav. The duo defeated Grant Hawkins and Hosey from Findlay.
Up next, the Scots will take part in the Hope Invitational on Sept.13-14.
