Men's Tennis Finds Wins at Hope
Multiple wins picked up over two day invite
The College of Wooster men's tennis team competed at the Hope Invitational this past Friday and Saturday.
The men posted several wins across the two-day invite.
In the top draw, Anthony VanOyen won 8-2 versus Samrvir Sran from Ohio Northern University. After a loss in the next round, Van Oyen later defeated Paul Schneider from Hope, 8-4.
After an opening loss, Arnav Yadav won 8-6 versus Michael Mascarin from Adrian College. Yadav also took an 8-4 win over Brandon Falk from Adrian.
In draw B, Namit Misra took a pair of wins after an opening loss. He won 8-2 against Lucas Preston from Kalamazoo College and then used that momentum to win 8-4 over Adrian's Luke Holowinski.
In Draw C, Ian Royse had the most success in the main bracket, winning 8-7 (5) over Hope's Alec Maynard and later winning over Trine University's Nicholas Jen 8-6.
Royse also had an 8-5 win over Hope's Elliot Dozeman.
Elsewhere, Bennett Dickerson beat Tom Clark from Kalamazoo, 8-5. Ian Loh won 8-7 (5), defeating Adrian's Isaac Johnson.
In doubles play, Yadav and Misra won their opening match in the main draw, defeating Ohio Northern's Thomas Schultz and Noah Boyce.
In draw B, Royse and Stratford teamed for a 6-4 win over Kosuke Asada and Aaron Davis from Ohio Northern. Later, they defeated Nicholas Lourido and Michael Ha from Aquinas College.
Next, the Scots will host Otterbein University on Wednesday.
