For the second year in a row, College of Wooster outfielder Demi Hart has earned National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Central Region honors, as the sophomore was again made a third-team selection, the organization announced Friday.

Hart led the Fighting Scots in nearly all major statistical categories, including batting average (.388), slugging percentage (.681), hits (45), doubles (16), triples (6), home runs (2), and RBI (26), while occupying the No. 3 hole in the lineup.

The standout had 14 multi-hit games on the season, with 10 coming against regional opponents. She collected three hits against Allegheny College (April 4), Wittenberg University (April 14), and Oberlin College (April 27), with her hits against Oberlin coming on two doubles and a home run.

Only during the first week of the season was Hart's batting average higher than it was at season's end, as she closed out the spring strong by going 10-for-19 (.526) with eight extra-base hits.

Last year, Hart became the first player in program history to earn a spot on the all-region team.
