College of Wooster junior Skye Patterson has been named to the All-North Coast Athletic Conference Team for the first time in her career, the league office announced Wednesday. The Wooster native received honorable mention as an infielder.

Offensively, Patterson set new career highs in batting average (.282) and runs scored (16) this spring, while her defensive work at second base was also impressive, as she committed just eight errors on 163 total chances (.951) while turning eight double plays.

Patterson was even better during the Fighting Scots' 16 conference games, hitting .300 (12-for-40) with three multi-hit games. Two of her signature games were against eventual NCAC Tournament champions DePauw University, as she went 4-for-7 with two runs batted in during a doubleheader with the Tigers on April 26.

Earlier in the season, she produced a six-game hit streak where she went 9-for 15 (.600), including her first-ever three-hit game, which came against Nichols College on March 18.

Patterson, who has totaled 79 hits, 40 runs, and 15 stolen bases during her career, will be one of five seniors expected to return to an experienced group next season.
