The three leading hitters of The College of Wooster softball team – senior catcher Paige Goldberg, sophomore corner infielder Stephenie Little, and senior shortstop Carly Schoenstein – were all voted as honorable mention selections on the All-North Coast Athletic Conference Team, the NCAC announced Wednesday.

Goldberg, the leadoff hitter, successfully set the table for Wooster's offense, as she batted .365 during the 16 NCAC games (19-for-52) and reached safely five times via walks for a .421 on-base percentage. Effectively utilizing her speed, Goldberg stole eight bases in nine attempts and totaled a squad-high 16 runs scored. She also produced two doubles, a triple, and five RBI in conference play.

Little had a breakthrough season at the plate, hitting .340 (16-for-47) and showing power with six doubles and two home runs against NCAC pitching. While starting nine games at third base and seven at first base, she drove in 12 runs, highlighted by solo homers during close wins against archrival Wittenberg University on April 1 and Hiram College April 11.

Schoenstein, who held down the No. 3 spot in the batting order, also finished at a clip well over .300 (.327; 18-for-55) during league games. She doubled three times, tripled twice, and reached double figures in both runs (10) and RBI (12), all while playing near-perfect defense at one of the most demanding positions in the field, committing just three errors out of 68 chances.
