 Bridget Serrurier

Bridget Serrurier of The College of Wooster softball team really made a big splash last week in her college debut, and went on to garner North Coast Athletic Conference Softball Player-of-the-Week honors, as announced by the conference office on Monday.

Serrurier started her collegiate career with a seven-game hitting streak, and hit safely in eight of the first 10 games overall. The freshmen posted a .429 (12-for-28) batting average last week with two doubles, two home runs, and a team-best 11 RBIs. She also scored a run in seven games.

Serrurier hit a two-run double as part of a four-run second inning during the Scots' 10-0 win over Edgewood College to open the season. The next morning, she was right back at it with a three-hit contest, while driving in two first-inning runs during Wooster's 3-2 win over Alfred State.

The Morton, Ill. native added a season-best three RBIs on Saturday against the University of Minnesota-Morris.

Wooster (5-7) has four games remaining on its spring trip, beginning with a 9 a.m. tilt against Manchester University on Tuesday.
