Brooke Swain

Junior Brooke Swain was the quinessential leadoff hitter for The College of Wooster softball team this weekend and was awarded with North Coast Athletic Conference Hitter of the Week honors.

Swain went 11-for-15 (.733) at the plate in a four-game sweep of Allegheny. She scored eight times, collected three RBI and swiped six bases.

Swain went 3-for-4 in the first two games Saturday, 2-for-4 in the first game Sunday and capped off the series with a 3-for-3, 3-run performance.

With at least six games played, Swain leads the conference with a .491 batting average. She is also tied for second with 14 stolen bases. She has scored 18 runs and has collected five RBI.

Wooster is 10-6 overall and 5-3 in the NCAC East. They travel to Kenyon College on Saturday.
