Marissa Norgrove

Senior Marissa Norgrove earned North Coast Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week honors following the team's four-game sweep this weekend of Allegheny College.

Norgrove collected a pair of wins in both her appearances and pitched 8.2 innings of scoreless softball. She went a 5-inning complete game in her lone start, and flirted with perfect game early, retiring the first 10 batters of the game.

In the series finale on Sunday, she came in from the bullpen for 3.2 innings of relief and allowed just one hit.

In total, she gave up three hits and struck out four in her two appearances. This is her first NCAC Pitcher of the Week honor.

On the season, Norgrove is 10-2 with a 3.18 ERA and 51 strikeouts. The Scots return to play Thursday when they travel to Wittenberg University for two games.
