Scots Wrap Up Regular Season

Brooke Swain The College of Wooster softball team struggled to get anything going at Muskingum University on Sunday as the Scots wrapped up its regular season schedule.

The Scots took a 5-0 loss in game one and a 17-2 loss (5 innings) in game two against the now 30-win Muskies.

Brooke SwainStephanie Griffin-SanchezKaydee Clark and Sarah Lodge all recorded a hit in game one.

Scoreless through the first two innings, Muskingum scored two in the third, two in the fourth and another in the fifth.

Addie Tagg and Rachael Dudziak split duties on the mound. The starter Tagg took the loss, allowing four runs in three innings. Dudziak pitched the final three innings, giving up just one earned run.

In game two, Anna Norby connected on her second home run of the year to score Clark for Wooster's only offense. Clark went 2-for-2 for Wooster's only multi-hit performance of the day.

Abby EberlyDaphne Pate and Tagg all pitched at least one inning. Eberly started and took the loss, while Tagg came in for a scoreless inning of relief toward the end of the game.

Wooster moves to 17-21, while Muskingum now sits at 30-10. The Scots await word on the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament seedings.
