Dudziak and Barkdoll Named Athletes of the Week

Junior Rachael Dudziak and first-year Cate Barkdoll were recently named North Coast Athletic Conference Pitcher and Player of the Week, respectively.

Dudziak made headlines when she pitched the program's ninth no-hitter and first since 2019 in an 8-0 win over Asbury University on Saturday.

She had three perfect innings and escaped out of a bases loaded situation in the second. Dudziak received the win in her first outing of the season, pitching all five innings and striking out four.

In addition, Dudziak pitched two innings of relief on Sunday. She allowed one unearned run to finish with an ERA of 0.00 across seven innings.

Barkdoll led an offense that scored 29 runs across four games as she recorded seven hits for a .500 average. She hit two doubles, scored five runs, walked twice and recorded three RBI.

She recorded a hit in each game, including going 4-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI in the team's 9-1 win against Centre College.

This is a first-time honor for both Dudziak and Barkdoll.

Wooster went 4-0 to open the season and will get back in action next month when they play 10 games on its spring break trip to Florida.
