Delio Earns First NCAC Pitcher of the Week Honors

Lynnsey Delio First-year Lynnsey Delio pitched her way to her first North Coast Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week honors.

Delio pitched three games for the Scots, throwing 15.1 innings and going 2-0 with a 1.37 ERA. Delio collected wins in her two starts, going the distance in both.

She allowed one earned run and struck out four in a 5-1 win over #20 Millikin University. She retired nine straight late in the game as well.

In her next start, Delio allowed two earned runs and struck out five in a 3-2 win over Baldwin Wallace University. Delio also pitched 1.1 innings of relief, allowing just one hit.

On the year, Delio is 6-3 with a 2.20 ERA. She leads the team in wins, erA and strikeouts (32).

This is Wooster's second NCAC Pitcher of the Week award after junior Rachael Dudziak earned the honor last month. Wooster also previously earned two Hitter of the Week awards thanks to Cate Barkdoll and Kaydee Clark.

Wooster is 10-6 on the season and travel to Capital University on Thursday.
