Four from The College of Wooster softball team were named All-North Coast Athletic Conference as announced by the conference office on Wednesday.
After earning the inaugural Rawlings Gold Glove a year ago, sophomore Julia Jennings earned the inaugural NCAC Gold Glove Award while earning first-team accolades.
Meanwhile, senior Stephanie Griffin-Sanchez and sophomore Emma Hetkey were second team selections, while sophomore outfielder Ella Wolff earned a spot on the third team.
Jennings once again shined on both facets of her game on the field and at the plate.
The third baseman posted a league-high 39 assists in NCAC play with 21 putouts in 63 total chances. She also committed just three errors for a .962 fielding percentage in NCAC games.
A first-team selection last year as well as the NCAC's Newcomer of the Year, Jennings batted .366 in conference games with 12 RBI and a team-high nine walks and a team-best on base percentage of .366. Overall, she was second on the team with a .393 average, first with a .457 on base percentage and totaled a team best 27 RBI.
Her classmate Hetkey was the lone Scot to best Jennings in average as she batted .409 overall and .420 in conference play, which was top 10 in the conference.
Hetkey is now a two-time second team selection. Batting in the two-spot for most of the year, Hetkey recorded 47 hits, including two doubles and stole 17 bases.
She was one stolen base from the team lead, which belonged to the senior Griffin-Sanchez.
Griffin-Sanchez earns her third All-NCAC honor after being named Newcomer of the Year and first team in 2021 and the second team in 2023. The senior wrapped up her Fighting Scots career with several program accolades after finishing the year with a .353 average and a team-high .482 slugging percentage with three home runs.
Playing exclusively at shortstop, Griffin-Sanchez recorded a .964 fielding percentage, turning seven double plays on the year with 86 assists.
In NCAC play, she batted .294 with two home runs and seven RBI.
Finally, the sophomore Wolff earned All-NCAC honors for the first time, batting .351 in conference games with a home run and five RBI. Her play in center field also was a highlight, committing just one error in conference play.
Back in April, she went 6-for-7 in two games against the eventual NCAC Champions, DePauw University, where she also hit her first career home run.
Wooster was 7-7 in NCAC play this year, just out of reach of the NCAC Tournament.
