<a href= The College of Wooster swimmers kicked off their season on a positive note Saturday at the annual North Coast Athletic Conference Relays, conducted at Kenyon College. The Fighting Scots' men's team left Kenyon in third-place and the women were fourth, however, when combined with the divers' scores, which took place at Denison University, they slipped to sixth and fifth, respectively (Wooster only had one male and one female diver, thus did not tally any "relay" points).

In the pool, the Scots' top performance of the day came from the men's 200 breaststroke relay, with Peter Parisi, Jeremy Bervoets, Zach Boylston, and Joe Wilch joining forces for a fifth-place effort (1:56.16).

Parisi was also involved in Wooster's two other top-eight finishes, as he led off the 200 butterfly relay, followed by Brendan Horgan, Bervoets, and Imre Namath, and they touched seventh overall (1:39.16). Parisi anchored the 200 backstroke relay, with Namath, Brett Dawson, and Horgan going before him, which added up to an eighth-place swim (1:43.28).

On the women's side, the Scots had a series of sixth-place relays. The first was turned in by Mariah McGovern, Priscilla Haug, Clare Walsh, and Samira El-Adawy in the 200 backstroke (1:55.97), and later, Kate Hunt, Melissa Haug, El-Adawy, and Adriana Hoak matched it in the 200 fly (1:53.04). The third came from the trio of McGovern, Hunt, and Kara Markham in the 1500 freestyle (16:17.87).

The regular dual season begins next weekend, when Wooster travels to the University of Mount Union Friday night and hosts Wittenberg University Saturday afternoon.
