The College of Wooster swimming and diving teams completed a successful weekend by combining to go 3-1 during a "double dual" with Ohio Wesleyan University and Defiance College Saturday at Timken Natatorium. After sweeping a traditional dual meet at Hiram College on Friday evening, Wooster's women's team completed a perfect weekend with decisive 154-63 and 177-28 victories over Ohio Wesleyan and Defiance, respectively, and the men split with a 164-34 win against Defiance and a 122-95 setback to Ohio Wesleyan.

While it was scored as a "double dual," all of the competitors raced against each other, but the Fighting Scot women still combined for nine individual wins, including two apiece for Samira El-Adawy and Mariah McGovern. El-Adawy, after winning the 400 IM at Hiram, touched first in the 200 IM (2:16.63) and in the 100 backstroke (1:01.88) on Saturday. McGovern displayed her dominance in the distance freestyles, emerging as the top finisher in both the 500 (5:26.03) and 1000 (11:04.17).

Morgan Hughes, Melissa Haug, and Clare Walsh added Wooster victories in the 50, 100, and 200 free, respectively, with times of 25.28, 55.85, and 2:00.15. Also, Kate Hunt touched first in the 100 butterfly (58.86) and Adriana Hoak was the top one-meter diver (146.15).

On the men's side, Peter Parisi continued his standout season as the lone triple winner of the competition. A day after he won the 50 free and 100 free at Hiram, Parisi again swept those events with 21.96 and 49.07 times, and then added a triumph in the 100 breaststroke (1:00.71).

Others contributing victories for the Scots Saturday were Alex LaJoie in the 100 fly (53.69) and Brian Maddock in the 100 back (54.97).

Wooster has another busy week ahead with dual meets against the University of Mount Union on Friday and Malone University Saturday.
