The College of Wooster swimming and diving teams each recorded decisive victories over University of Mount Union Friday evening, as Brian Maddock led the men to a 150-121 triumph, and Mariah McGovern, Morgan Hughes, and Kate Hunt keyed the women's 185-86 rout.

The men pushed their dual meet record to 3-6, while the women, who have now won seven in a row, improved to 7-2.

Maddock highlighted the meet with three individual wins, including both the 100 yard backstroke (54.43) and the 200 backstroke (1:59.83), as well as the 400 IM in 4:27.63, which was nearly 11 seconds quicker than the nearest Mount Union swimmer.

Other members of the men's team to win multiple events included Peter Parisi, Alex LaJoie, and Imre Namath. Parisi took top honors in the 100 (1:00.73) and 200 breaststroke (2:20.28), LaJoie touched first in the 100 butterfly (54.04) and 200 freestyle (1:51.56), and Namath won the 50 (21.68) and 100 freestyle (49.29).

On the women's side, McGovern, Hughes, and Hunt were each double-winners. For McGovern, her victories came in the 100 backstroke (1:02.25) and 500 freestyle in 5:19.20. Hughes scored maximum points in the 50 freestyle (25.13) and 100 butterfly (1:00.07), and Hunt did the same in the 100 freestyle (53.77) and 200 butterfly (2:12.11), with the latter time coming more than 12 seconds quicker than Mount Union's best result.

Also noteworthy, the Scots won all four relay events at the meet, and both the men's and women's one-meter diving events, which featured Matt Wong and Adriana Hoak, respectively.

Wooster will host another home meet tomorrow at 1 p.m. when Malone University visits Timken Natatorium.
