Samira El-Adawy

Samira El-Adawy helped lead The College of Wooster to a 330-225 victory over Lake Erie College in the third-place meet of the 2012 Greater Cleveland Tournament on Saturday, and in doing so, was recognized by the North Coast Athletic Conference as the women's swimming and diving Athlete of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.

El-Adawy played a role in four victories for the Scots, with three coming in individual events, as she won the 200 freestyle (2:00.08), 200 backstroke (2:17.87), and the 400 IM (4:49.72). She also swam the lead leg on the winning 200 medley relay (1:55.91).

Wooster will be back in the pool Saturday, when it visits Westminster (Pa.) College for a non-conference dual meet. The action begins at 1 p.m.
