Whitman Collects Second NCAC Athlete of the Week Honor This Month

For the second time in the last three weeks, The College of Wooster's Madison Whitman was selected as the North Coast Athletic Conference's Women's Swimmer of the Week. The conference office announced its latest weekly honors on Monday afternoon.

Whitman was a triple-winner for the Fighting Scots during Saturday's 182-105 win at Baldwin Wallace University. The Wooster, Ohio, native broke the 14-year-old BW Natatorium record in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:28.76. She also won the 100 breaststroke (1:09.77) and 200 individual medley (2:15.38).

Whitman was previously the NCAC Athlete of the Week on January 13. She's the second repeat winner this season, with the other being Denison University standout KT Kustritz.

Wooster's back in action at the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships, which start on Wednesday, February 12 at Denison's Trumbull Aquatics Center.
