Jacques Earns All-NCAC Honors in Opening Night of NCAC Championships

GRANVILLE, Ohio – The 2020 North Coast Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Championships are underway, and sophomore Eric Jacques led the way for The College of Wooster on Wednesday evening at Denison University's Trumbull Aquatics Center.

Jacques earned all-conference recognition with a third place dive on the 3-meter board and a score of 363.85. Kenyon College freshman Drew Albrecht won the event with a score of 500.05.

First-year Nicholas Rabaut also competed on the three-meter board. He scored 274.40 points and placed sixth. Rabut and Jacques combined to give Wooster 57 team points.

The other 52 points came from the men's 800 freestyle relay team, whose race opened the championships. Senior Trey Schopen, junior Wyatt Foss, sophomore Graham Letkeman, and junior Craig Klumpp took seventh at 7:13.97.

Wooster's women's 800 freestyle relay was disqualified due to an early takeoff.

Kenyon leads the men's standings with 153 points. Wooster is third with 109 points. Denison leads the women's standings with 70 points.

Day two of the championships starts with preliminary heats at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday. Finals take place at 6 p.m.
