Klumpp This Week's NCAC Athlete of the Week

The College of Wooster's Craig Klumpp factored heavily into the Fighting Scots' 161-40 win over Wittenberg University on Saturday, and the North Coast Athletic Conference took notice by selecting the senior as its NCAC Athlete of the Week for men's swimming and diving on Monday afternoon.

Klumpp was one of three triple winners on the men's side. The physics major opened the meet as the breaststroke leg on Wooster's 400 medley relay (3:52.42), which won the event by over 32 seconds. Individually, Klumpp led the way with an 11:40.90 in the 1,000 freestyle, and he posted a 10.24-second win in the 200 breaststroke (2:26.76).

Of note, the dual meet victory marked head coach Rob Harrington's 100th men's win as the Scots' skipper.

Klumpp, and his Wooster teammates, are slated to be back in action at Ohio Wesleyan University on Saturday, February 20 at 1 p.m.
