CSCAA Scholar All-America Release

The College of Wooster men's and women's swimming and diving teams were among the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America's Scholar All-America team qualifiers for the spring 2021 semester, as announced recently by the coaching organization. The Scholar All-America squad was comprised of 721 teams from 424 institutions.

Wooster's women's team posted a 3.53 GPA for the semester, while the men checked in at 3.37. To qualify, teams must have achieved at least a 3.0 GPA for the most recent academic semester.

Seven women's and six men's teams from the North Coast Athletic Conference earned the honor, with Denison University, DePauw University, Oberlin College, and Wooster having both programs recognized.

Of note, Wooster's women's team was one of 13 programs at the College that had at least 50 percent of its eligible nominees honored earlier this week on the NCAC Academic Honor Roll. Swimmers and divers on that list included senior Anne Bowers, sophomore Naomi Fernandes, senior Josh Gluck, sophomore Noah Golovan, junior Eric Jacques, senior Leah Jorn, sophomore Min Kim, senior Hannah Langer, sophomore Alice Markey, senior Lexi Riley-DiPaolo, junior Kate Schlegel, senior Kera Sells, and sophomore Kay Wetmore.
