Doak Schultz, College of Wooster swimming WOOSTER, Ohio – The College of Wooster swimming and diving program raced away from Oberlin College, with the men winning 176-77 and the women capping an undefeated dual meet season with a 163-79 victory on Saturday afternoon at Timken Natatorium. With the women's victory, Wooster sent its seniors out with three unblemished dual meet records and an overall ledger of 31-1. The win also marked the seventh time in the last eight seasons Wooster's women have not dropped a dual meet against a North Coast Athletic Conference program.

The outcome was never really in doubt, as seniors Mia Chen and Molly Likins, junior Kay Wetmore, and first-year Hallie Findlan staked the Scots to the lead from the gates with the winning time of 1:52.68 in the 200 medley relay. Wooster's winning quartet from the opening race dominated the sprint-meet format. Chen's 28.99 and 1:02.52 were the top times in the 50 and 100 backstrokes, respectively, as were Likins' 31.00 and 1:09.75 in the 50 and 100 breaststrokes. Findlan finished as a quadruple winner, taking the 50 (24.62) and 100 freestyles (54.24), as well as leading off the winning 200 freestyle relay that logged a 1:43.60. Sophomore Maddie Becker, Likins, and sophomore Emma Connors rounded out the meet-capping winning crew.

Elsewhere, Ollie Bream's name consistently jumped out atop the leaderboard. The first-year capped the season with 19 first-place finishes in 20 individual dual meet events. She got there courtesy of winning times of 2:02.45 in the 200 freestyle, 1:02.32 in the 100 butterfly, 27.22 in the 50 butterfly, and 1:04.06 in the 100 individual medley on Saturday.

Senior Doak Schultz headlined the men's results by establishing a new Timken Natatorium record in the 100 individual medley at 54.34. He collected a trio of first-place finishes on the day, starting with the 200 medley relay. First-year Damien Donado, junior Noah Golovan, and first-year Ryan Gross joined Schultz and went 1:39.67. Schultz touched at 21.93 in the 50 freestyle.

Donado, sophomore Josh Pearson, and senior Eric Jacques matched Schultz with two individual firsts in the dual meet finale. Donado's came in the backstroke, where he went 26.32 and 57.22 in the 50- and 100-yard races, respectively. Pearson beat out the field in the 100 butterfly (52.97) and 50 butterfly (23.94). In the diving well, Jacques tallied up 243.80 points on the one-meter board, and later returned to post a score of 238.90 on the three-meter board.
