Harrington Tabbed as NCAC Women's Coach of the Year

Rob Harrington, College of Wooster Swimming & Diving Rob Harrington's milestone-filled year continued on Thursday, as the 19th-year head coach was selected by his peers as the North Coast Athletic Conference Women's Swimming Coach of the Year.

The College of Wooster women's swimming and diving team placed fourth at last week's NCAC Championships, where the Fighting Scots had four all-conference swims. First-year Ollie Bream became the first Wooster rookie to earn four All-NCAC certificates since 2006. She took third in the 200 butterfly with a NCAA Div. III "B" cut time of 2:03.74 and was part of the Scots' all-conference 200 medley (1:47.03), 400 medley (3:54.70), and 800 freestyle (7:51.68) relays.

On January 14, Harrington collected dual meet win 250 at Wooster. He became the College's all-time winningest coach in dual meets eight days later, surpassing Div. III coaching legend Keith Beckett.

Wooster's women went 8-0 in dual meets this winter, marking the program's third undefeated year in the last four seasons. The Scots logged their sixth unblemished dual meet record against NCAC programs over the last seven years.

Harrington's now 148-32 in women's dual meets at Wooster, and he is 108-69 on the men's side. Under Harrington, Wooster has 20 top-four (15 women, five men) finishes at the NCAC Championships, and the Scots have scored at six national meets.

This is Harrington's fourth NCAC Coach of the Year honor. He was previously the NCAC Women's Coach of the Year in 2012 and 2017 and earned his first honor on the men's side following the 2019 NCAC Championships.
