Findlan, Shaker Headed into NCAC Meet with Weekly Honors
Wooster duo NCAC Athletes of the Week
Seniors Hallie Findlan and Isaac Shaker swept the North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week honors for swimming and diving on Tuesday morning.
Findlan helped set The College of Wooster's relays up for success in Saturday's 199.5-95.5 win over Ohio Northern University. The senior swam the leadoff leg of the winning 200 medley (1:55.01) and 200 freestyle relays (1:44.72). In individual events, Findlan took first in the 100 backstroke and 100 freestyle with times of 1:02.60 and 54.84, respectively. Findlan helped lead Wooster to a 35-2 dual meet record during her career.
Shaker swam a 1:58.66 to take first in the 200 butterfly and won the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:01.45. The senior was part of 29 dual meet wins as a Fighting Scot, with those concluding with Saturday's 147-133 win over Ohio Northern.
This is Findlan's third NCAC weekly honor, while Shaker is a first-time winner.
Next up for Wooster is the NCAC Championships, which start February 12 at Denison University's Trumbull Aquatics Center.
