Bream Breaks Record, Finishes Just Shy of All-America Status in 200 Freestyle
Senior places 18th in 200 freestyle
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The College of Wooster's Ollie Bream had her best showing at nationals, placing 18th in the 200 freestyle on Thursday morning at the Greensboro Aquatics Center.
Bream's 1:51.14 broke the school record of 1:51.89 set by alumna Emma Fikse in 2017. The senior finished two spots out of earning a swim in finals, where a finish would have earned her an All-America honor.
Bream has one more event at the national championships. That is the 200 butterfly, which takes place on Friday. The 200 butterfly is Bream's signature event and the one that has got her to nationals three times as a Fighting Scot.
