Bream an All-American to Cap Standout Career
Senior places 13th in 200 butterfly at Div. III Championships
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Senior Ollie Bream's greatest swim as a College of Wooster Fighting Scot took place on Friday morning, as the butterfly specialist secured a spot in the 200-yard consolation final. In the consolation final, Bream secured her All-America award with the 13th-place time of 2:03.70.
"We are very proud of Ollie," said head coach Rob Harrington. "It has been a goal of Ollie's to make it to the finals in the 200 butterfly. She accomplished that goal tonight. What a great way for her to wrap a tremendous college career."
Bream went 2:03.11 in prelims for an 11th-place showing. She graduates with the school record in the event at 2:02.95, which she shares with Kate Hunt. Bream used that time to qualify for this year's Div. III Championships.
The three-time national qualifier also graduates as the program's record-holder in the 200 freestyle (1:51.14) and 400 individual medley (4:29.05) and holds top-five program times in the 200 individual medley (2:05.44) and 100 butterfly (57.19, fourth). Bream was a six-time All-North Coast Athletic Conference performer.
