Wooster Quartet Named CSC Academic All-District®
Andrewjeski, Glover, Laubacher, Sullivan named to team
Tucker Andrewjeski, Callum Glover, Will Laubacher, and Boston Sullivan from The College of Wooster men's swimming and diving team are part of this year's College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Team, which was announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.
Andrewjeski qualified for the championship final of the 200 breaststroke at the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships. There, the senior lowered an already-held school record to 2:05.37. Andrewjeski's 4:09.92 ranked 12th at the conference meet in the 400 individual medley, and the senior went 1:55.59 for a 16th-place showing in the 200 individual medley.
Andrewjeski originally broke the program's 200 breaststroke record with a 2:05.43 at the 2024 NCAC Championships. That was good for a career-best fifth-place showing. As a first-year Andrewjeski qualified for the championship final of the 400 individual medley at conference and placed seventh. He won the 400 individual medley consolation final as a sophomore and was a key contributor to the program's first top-three NCAC finish in two decades. Andrewjeski is set to graduate with top-10 program times in three events.
Andrewjeski is a three-time CSC Academic All-District® qualifier. The political science major spent last summer interning at the Department of the Interior's Acquisition Services Directorate. Andrewjeski learned and applied contract lifecycle and federal acquisition regulations through documentation and data recording. Andrewjeski prepared and read statements of work, performance work statements, and requests for proposals. Elsewhere, Andrewjeski was a law clerk intern in 2023 working for Phillip Robinson and the Consumer Law Center. The senior drafted intakes, revised legal documents, and assisted in class action lawsuits. With this internship, Andrewjeski gained insight into government processes at the state and federal levels.
Glover was one of Wooster's top performers at the NCAC Championships this winter. The junior led off the fifth-place 800 freestyle relay (6:58.79) and anchored the fifth-place 400 medley relay (3:27.22). He led off the program's sixth-place 200 (1:25.98) and 400 freestyle relays (3:11.86) and was the program's top finisher in the 100 freestyle (11th, 46.95), 100 butterfly (14th, 51.58), and 50 freestyle (18th, 21.59).
Earlier in his career, Glover was part of the school-record 400 medley relay that placed fourth with a time of 3:25.03 at the 2024 conference meet. His 46.98 in the 100 freestyle against Ohio Wesleyan University broke a 20-plus-year-old Timken Natatorium record. Glover's 20.68 was the fourth-place 50 freestyle time at the 2024 conference meet. Glover currently ranks second in program history in the 50 (20.68) and 100 freestyles (45.55), third in the 200 freestyle (1:42.63), and fifth in the 100 butterfly (50.97). He was a key part of Wooster's third-place NCAC finish in 2023, a first for the program since 2003.
The Eagle Scout has worked as a crew leader at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. He has coached youth with the Spring Branch Stringrays. The business economics major and physical education minor was part of the group of students who met with finalists for the athletic director search in 2023 and the director of strength and conditioning search in 2024. Glover is a two-time CSC Academic All-District® qualifier.
Laubacher emerged as a key relay contributor for the Scots this season. The junior helped Wooster's 800 freestyle relay (6:58.79) to a fifth-place finish at conference and was part of the sixth-place 200 freestyle (1:25.98), 400 freestyle (3:11.36), and 200 medley relays (1:34.97). Individually, Laubacher won the consolation final of the 200 freestyle at conference with a time of 1:44.26. The junior went 16:45.48 to place 10th in the 1,650 freestyle at conference and posted a time of 4:41.82 for 12th in the 500 freestyle.
The junior currently holds top-10 program times in the 200 freestyle (1:43.77, ninth), 500 freestyle (4:41.82, sixth), 1,000 freestyle (10:05.19, eighth), and 1,650 freestyle (16:43.76, eighth). He helped the Scots to a fourth-place finish in the 800 freestyle relay at conference as a sophomore and was 12th in the 200 freestyle at conference.
The psychology major spent last summer as a student intern at the University of Pittsburgh. There, he handled participant intake and was a liaison for neuroscience of aging research projects. Laubacher documented responses to memory and cognition assessments and blood sample custody transfers. Laubacher previously was a summer lifeguard at Richland Swim Club and worked at Pine Community Center.
Sullivan swam on four top-six relays at conference this season. He helped the 400 medley (3:27.22) and 800 freestyle relays (6:58.79) to top-five placements, while the 200 medley (1:34.97) and 400 freestyle relays (3:11.36) claimed sixth at Div. III's preeminent conference championship. Individually, Sullivan was a top-12 placer in the 100 (57.60) and 200 breaststrokes (2:06.64) at conference and had a 1:55.30 in the 200 individual medley to win the bonus heat.
Sullivan's collegiate-bests of 57.47 and 2:06.24 are the second-fastest times in program history in the 100 and 200 breaststrokes, respectively. Sullivan is also second at Wooster in the 200 individual medley (1:53.43) and his 53.81 in the 100 individual medley is the fourth-best time at Wooster. He was part of the program's record 400 medley relay that went 3:25.03 at the 2024 NCAC Championships. As a first-year, Sullivan keyed the program's first top-three conference finish in two decades as a member of the fifth-place 400 medley relay and the winner of the consolation final of the 100 individual medley.
The statistical and data sciences major worked with Goodyear through the College's AMRE summer program. The data analyst intern cleaned, visualized, and interpreted large datasets to provide key performance metrics and presented the findings to the engineering teams at Goodyear. Earlier in his collegiate studies, Sullivan was a private wealth management intern with Beese Fulmer. There, Sullivan conducted in-depth financial analysis, market research, and risk assessments to make investment recommendations. On campus, Sullivan is a resident assistant and is the treasurer for Scot Council, the student government organization. Sullivan was part of Jenny Investment Club, which manages a small portfolio of the College's endowment.
