Jamie Chipkajoined The College of Wooster’s swimming and diving coaching staff as a full-time assistant on September 30, 2024. 

Chipka, a Wooster native, coached three years at the high school level at Wooster High School. Chipka managed the pool at Wooster Country Club and spent just over four years as a lifeguard supervisor at Lack’s Beach Service in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. There, Chipka supervised 15 lifeguards who provided adequate coverage of three miles of the area beaches. 

Prior to coaching full-time, Chipka worked as a behavior paraprofessional for Wooster City School District. There, Chipka collaborated with teachers to implement individualized educational plans for students and provided personalized education, behavioral, and emotional support to students to enable positive learning. 

Chipka graduated from Ashland University with a bachelor’s degree in sports management. She swam at Ashland as a first-year and competed for Team USA at the Triathlon Age Group World Championships in 2016.
