<a href= The men's and women's track & field teams competed in two meets this weekend, as The College of Wooster visited Oberlin College for a non-scored dual meet on Friday, and then battled in the All-Ohio Championships on Saturday which were hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University.

Despite it being a non-scoring event, Wooster had several individuals produce solid showings at the Oberlin dual, highlighted by a trio of double-winners. For the women, Rebecca Craig won both the 800 (2:37.65) and 1500 meter run (5:21.51), while Melanie Sidman topped the competition in the discus (26.78 meters) and javelin throws (24.07 meters). On the men's side it was Stephen Ferguson winning twice, as he crossed the finish line first in the 200 (24.90) and 400 meter dash (55.31).

The men set the tone at the All-Ohio Championships, as both Julian Mangano and Eric Dyer finished near the top of large fields in their respective events. Mangano picked up third-place in a field of 26 in the 800 meter run with his time of 1:56.59. Dyer then topped 19 others to finish third in the men's triple jump (44 feet, 3.5 inch), which was less than a foot behind the event's champion. Rik Workman was also a top-10 finisher, as he crossed 10th in the 5000 meter run (15.40.01).

The women's best showing came from Abena Boamah-Acheampong, as she finished tied for fourth in a field of 21 in the high jump at 5 feet, 2.25 inch. Whitney Rapple and KateLynn Riley were both good for eight-place in events on Saturday, with Rappole's coming in the 400 meter hurdles (1:08.74), and Riley's in the javelin throw (30.06 meters). Meredith Shaul rounded out Wooster's top finishers by garnering ninth-place in the 1500 meter run (5:01.49).

Wooster's men (12 points) finished tied with Wittenberg University (12 points) for 15th place, but it was host Ohio Wesleyan (143 points) that ran away with the team title. The women (6.5 points) finished just behind Kenyon College (9 points) in 16th place, while Baldwin-Wallace College (103 points) snagged the championship.

The Scots will be back in action this Friday at the Denison Invitational at 4 p.m.
