Fresh off of becoming an individual champion in the high jump and winning the North Coast Athletic Conference's Field Athlete-of-the-Year award, College of Wooster sophomore Abena Boamah-Acheampong won in her signature event yet again this past weekend at Ashland University's Last Chance Meet, where athletes competed to improve their chances of earning a berth into the NCAA Div. III Championships.

Boamah-Acheampong cleared the bar at 5 feet, 2.5 inches Saturday, which bested several others in the event. Her top mark this season came at the Denison University Invitational, where she cleared 5 feet, 5.25 inches, which currently is tied for the 18th-best in Div. III.

The Fighting Scots' standout jumper will take one more crack at improving her rank this Friday, when she competes at the Gregory Invitational, hosted by North Central College at Naperville, Ill.
