The College of Wooster hosted its second of three consecutive indoor track & field home events Saturday afternoon, as Allegheny College, Kenyon College, and Ohio Wesleyan University joined the Fighting Scots for a North Coast Athletic Conference quad, which saw both Ohio Wesleyan's men's and women's teams take top honors.

Wooster's men finished fourth with 58 points, while the women challenged the Bishops (221 points) with a solid second-place showing of 181 points.

The women swept the three jumping events, as Abena Boamah-Acheampong tied her school record in the high jump (5 feet, 4.5 inches) and won the triple jump (32 feet, 3.5 inches), while Ellen Sandin took first-place in the long jump (16 feet, 7 inches).

Kara Johnson also snagged an individual victory in the 60 meters (8.46), while the Scots got second-place points from Kelsie Herring in the 800 meters (2:27.75) and Amy French in the 60-meter hurdles (10.12).

Also noteworthy, the women broke the school record in the distance medley relay that they set just a year ago, as Erin Plews-Ogan, Taylor Morgan, Herring, and Meredith Shaul finished in 12:48.97, which was good for second-place in the event, and was almost a full second better than the previous record (12:49.81).

The men had their best showing in the pole vault event, where David Brew and Jay Marshall placed second and third, respectively, and both cleared the bar at 11 feet, 11 inches.

Other notable scorers included a fourth-place finish for Micah Caunter in the 800 meters (2:03.36) and a fifth-place for Luke Hutchings-Goetz in the 5000 meters (15:48.41).

Next Saturday, Wooster will host the Fighting Scots Invitational.
