The College of Wooster's women's track and field team broke a pair of school records and Abena Boamah-Acheampong won an individual championship in the high jump, highlighting the Scots results at the All-Ohio Championships Saturday at Westerville, Ohio.

After taking second-place a year ago, Boamah-Acheampong this time topped 15 of the best Div. III jumpers in the state to win the high jump by clearing the bar at 5 feet, 5.25 inches. The event ended in a jump-off between three jumpers who had all cleared 5 feet, 4.25 inches, but Boamah-Acheampong was the only one able to get over the next height. The win also marked the second consecutive week that Wooster's standout jumper reset her own school record in the event.

Not to be outdone, the women's distance medley relay team of Erin Plews-Ogan, Taylor Morgan, Kelsie Herring, and Meredith Shaul shattered their school record by crossing the finish line in 12:35.51, a full 13 seconds quicker than their previous best. The group had to settle for second-place, though, as they finished just over a second behind the winners.

Also noteworthy, Ellen Sandin took sixth-place in the long jump (17 feet, 0.50 inches), helping Wooster's women finish 11th overall out of 19 teams, which was ahead of North Coast Athletic Conference foes Wittenberg University, Denison University, and Oberlin College.

The Scots will be in action next Saturday at the Kenyon Classic.
