Competing alongside the best in the Buckeye State, The College of Wooster women's track & field team finished in 14th-place at the All-Ohio Div. III Championships, held Saturday at Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio.

Wooster scored 15 points, keyed by third-place performances from its distance medley relay and senior Abena Boamah-Acheampong.

The DMR team, consisting of senior Taylor Morgan, sophomore Ashley Huddson, junior Ann Berkow, and sophomore Lauren Buyan, covered the relay in a 12:57.75 time as they took a step towards defending the Fighting Scots' North Coast Athletic Conference championship in the event.

Boamah-Acheampong was unable to defend her All-Ohio title in the high jump, but still finished third by clearing 5 feet, 5 inches, and then added points in the triple jump via a seventh-place finish (33 feet, 9.25 inches). Also in the latter event, Ellen Sandin scored for the Fighting Scots with an eight-place mark (33 feet, 4.5 inches).

Wooster has one more tune-up prior to the NCAC Championships, as it will be at the Kenyon Classic next Saturday.
