The College of Wooster women's track and field team produced three individual champions as part of a second-place finish at the Kenyon Spring Invitational, while the men place seventh in a similarly-crowded field Saturday at Gambier, Ohio.

The women scored 114.5 points, which was well ahead of third-place Otterbein University (89.5), but behind Ashland University (150) for the meet's top honors.

Three Scots were winners in individual competition, as Stephanie McShane won the 200 meter dash in 26.82, Erin Plews-Ogan won the 3,000 meter steeplechase in 11:3.94, and Abena Boamah-Acheampong won the high jump by clearing the bar at 5 feet, 4.25 inches.

Also noteworthy, Monica Ramstad and Allison Chin crossed the finish line second and third, respectively, in the 5,000 meter run with times of 19:37.11 and 19:54.45.

The men's team, which placed seventh in a field of 10 teams with 67 points, also had an individual champion, as Luke Hutchings-Goetz continued his strong season with a victory in the 5,000 meter run in 15:23.37.

Matt Margida was runner up in two events, earning second-place honors in the shot put (47 feet, 1.75 inches) and discus throw (137 feet, 1.75 inches), as was standout Peter Parisi, who nearly won the javelin throw with a distance of 155 feet even.

Finally, men's high jumper Mamoudou N'Diaye just missed out on top-three in his signature event, as his jump of 5 feet, 10 inches was good for fourth overall.
