Petrecca's Conference-Leading High Jump Garners Third Career NCAC Athlete of the Week Nod
Junior Jack Petrecca's winning high jump of 6 feet, 4.25 inches currently stands as the best in the NCAC
Junior Jack Petrecca of The College of Wooster men's track & field team garnered North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week honors after a first-place finish in the high jump at the Wooster Quad Meet on Saturday.
Petrecca, whose personal-best in the high jump stands at 6 feet, 5.75 inches, won the weekend's event behind a leap of 6 feet, 4.25 inches before helping lead Wooster to a win in the 4x400-meter relay (3:40.95), as the Fighting Scots placed second as a team amongst the four-team field.
Notably, Petrecca's mark is currently the best in the NCAC. Additionally, this week's honor represents his third career nomination.
