Scots Put Up Three Second Places in Last Chance Event

GRANVILLE, Ohio – The College of Wooster men's and women's track team traveled to Denison University for its non-scoring "Last Chance Meet" on Friday and was led behind some solid performances.

The Scots had three second place finishes, two of which came from first-years and the other a senior.

Senior Jackson Feinknopf raced to second in the 3,000 run with a time of 8:59.74.

The women claimed the other two second place finishes as first-year Claudia Partridge put up a 4-11 in the high jump, and Kayla Bertholf ran a 5:42.64 in the 1 mile for second place. She also finished 10th in the 800 run (2:36.86).

Elsewhere, junior Spencer Wilson threw a 48-10.25 for third in the weight throw and a 42-6 to finish fourth in the shot put. Kristian Coleman was fifth in the 60 dash in 7.36 seconds.

First-year Amirah Yessoufou finished fourth in the women's 3,000 run in 11:23.21, while freshman William McMichael was fourth in the men's 200 dash with a time of 23.77 seconds.

Next, the Scots will compete in the NCAC Heptathlon/Pentathlon at Kenyon College with the NCAC Indoor Championships looming next weekend here at the College.
