David Westcott

Senior David Westcott of The College of Wooster track and field program, was tabbed as the North Coast Athletic Conference's Player of the Week for men's middle-distance and distance events for his efforts in Saturday's 3,000-meter steeplechase at the All-Ohio Championships.

Westcott's career-best time of 9:10.04 handily placed the senior in the winner's circle on Saturday, as the runner-up didn't cross until 9:27.78. Westcott's time is currently the third-best within Div. III this spring.

He was previously the NCAC Player of the Week on March 18.

Westcott, and his Wooster teammates, are back in action at this Saturday's Kenyon College Invitational.
