Aedan Pettit, a senior on The College of Wooster track and field team, parlayed his collegiate-best time of 4:25.01 in the mile at Friday's Kenyon College Tri-Meet into North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week honors, which were announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Pettit beat out 13 other competitors to win the mile at Friday's meet, and his time vaulted the senior up the conference's top times' list. The computer science and mathematics major is heading into this week's NCAC Championships with the second-fastest time in the mile.

Pettit's the fifth Fighting Scot to earn the NCAC's weekly prize this season, and the second from the men's side.

Wooster's back in action at the NCAC Championships, which take place February 28-29 at Denison University.
