McMichael Collects Second NCAC Weekly Honor This Year

Sophomore William McMichael of The College of Wooster track and field team, turned in a trio of solid performances at last week's Coastal Carolina Invitational, and was chosen as the North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week for men's sprints and hurdles events, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

McMichael, who was named the NCAC's Sprints and Hurdles Athlete of the Year at the indoor championships, was the runner-up in the 400 meters last week with a time of 49.90 seconds. He helped Wooster's 4x400 relay place second at 3:29.95 and was fifth in the 200 meters at 22.76 seconds.

McMichael's 400 meters time is the ninth-fastest in NCAA Div. III this spring, while Wooster's 4x400 relay has the 14th-fastest time in the country.

McMichael's previous NCAC Athlete of the Week honor came on January 13.
