Partridge Places 12th at Div. III Championships

Claudia Partridge, College of Wooster track & field The College of Wooster's Claudia Partridge debuted at the NCAA Div. III Championships with a 12th-place finish in the high jump on Saturday at JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Partridge needed two tries to clear the opening height of 5 feet, 1.25 inches, but she had no issue getting over the bar at 5 feet, 3.25 inches. The senior was unsuccessful at the next progression of 5 feet, 4.5 inches. Had Partridge cleared that progression successfully on try one, she would have earned All-American honors.

Partridge was Wooster's first women's national qualifier since alumna Carolyn Webster made the high jump field at the 2018 outdoor championships.

Tufts University's Jaidyn Appel was the national champion at 5 feet, 9.25 inches.

Next, Wooster turns its attention to the outdoor season, which starts at Thursday's Coastal Carolina Invitational.
