Partridge Ties for 19th-Place at Div. III Championships

Claudia Partridge, Wooster track & field GENEVA, Ohio – The College of Wooster's Claudia Partridge tied for 19th-place in her return to the NCAA Div. III Championships, which are taking place at SPIRE Institute through Saturday.

Partridge, a senior, had no problem clearing the opening height of 5 feet, 1.25 inches. However, she was unable to get over the next progression of 5 feet, 3.25 inches.

This was Partridge's second time competing in the high jump at the Div. III Championships. Earlier this year, the six-time All-North Coast Athletic Conference performer placed 12th at the Div. III Indoor Championships, where she bowed out after clearing 5 feet, 3.25 inches. Other highlights for Partridge included winning the NCAC indoor high jump title and breaking the program's indoor record with a clearance of 5 feet, 6.5 inches at the NCAC indoor meet.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Kimmy McPherson was the national champion in the event at 5 feet, 7.75 inches.

Sophomore Dylan Garretson is up next for Wooster, with the pole vaulter set to compete at the Div. III Championships at noon on Saturday.
