Upping School Record Helps Wiesner to NCAC Honor

The College of Wooster's Ainsley Wiesner shattered her own program record in the hammer throw to win the event at Saturday's All-Ohio Championships and on Tuesday, the senior earned North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week honors.

Wiesner recorded a toss of 168 feet, 6 inches on her fourth throw, bettering her own school record by 8 feet, 8 inches in the process. Wiesner currently ranks 18th nationally in the event. She earned a third-career All-Ohio honor with the runner-up mark of 37 feet, 8.75 inches in the shot put.

This is Wiesner's third NCAC Athlete of the Week award.

Wooster returns to action against Denison University on Wednesday, April 17 in the final leg of the Wooster-Denison Dual Meet Series. The meet is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. start at Denison.
