Our "Senior Salute" series continues with Will Christopher, a psychology and political science major from Buffalo, New York. Christopher is a member of the cross country and track and field team.
Q: Why did you choose to attend The College of Wooster?
A: I chose Wooster for the fantastic community and outstanding professors.
Q: What does being a Fighting Scot student-athlete mean to you?
A: It means being part of a fantastic, outgoing community with some of the coolest people I have ever met.
Q: What are some of your favorite memories as a student at The College of Wooster?
A: Sledding down the hill behind the Scot Center and going to basketball games are some super fun memories I have had on campus.
Q: What is the best part about being a student-athlete at The College of Wooster?
A: The people. My coaches and teammates are so fun to be around and are at the root of many of my memories.
Q: What else were you involved with on campus besides your sport?
A: I am an admissions tour guide and a member of the Wooster Jazz Ensemble. I also volunteer with ASPIRE of Wooster.
Q: Which College of Wooster faculty or staff member has made the greatest impact on you and why?
A: Dr. Susan Clayton and Professor Sekwen Kim have done a fantastic job advising my Independent Study up to this point, so hats off to them for helping me through the project.
Q: What other people or resources impacted your Wooster experience in a positive way and how did these people and resources set you up to be successful at Wooster?
A: I want to give a big shoutout to everyone in my social life. You cannot have good grades and fun times without balance. I have that thanks to everyone involved in my social life.
Q: Tell us a bit about your Independent Study project?
A: My I.S. examines how media framing impacts people's level of climate anxiety and how it impacts their willingness to engage in politics and take political action.
Q: Tell us a bit about something cool you did as a student at The College of Wooster?
A: I found a great internship in Buffalo, New York, working for Canisius University's Institute for Autism Research. I also won a fair amount of Monopoly games during my time on campus, which is pretty epic.
Q: Reflecting back on your time at Wooster, what advice would you give your first-year self?
A: Wooster has been awesome. I would not change much.
