Hargrave's Record Results in NCAC Honor
Senior in the top-10 nationally in hurdles
The College of Wooster's Daysia Hargrave's collegiate-best 8.81 in the 60-meter hurdles won the event at the All-Ohio Championships and moved the senior into the top-10 nationally for this season. That race caught the attention of the North Coast Athletic Conference, which honored the senior as its Athlete of the Week for women's sprints and hurdles on Tuesday.
Hargrave posted a season-best time of 9.01 in the preliminaries and was the third seed for the final. She went 8.81 to win the event by 0.14.
The All-Ohio honor was Hargrave's seventh. The senior is a two-time 60-meter hurdles champion at All-Ohio, and it marked her second time breaking the school record in the event at that meet.
Wooster is in action Friday at Kenyon College, while Hargrave is set to compete in this year's NCAC pentathlon at Oberlin College on Sunday.
