March 9, 2025
The College of Wooster's Daysia Hargrave is headed back to the NCAA Div. III National Championships, where she will compete in the 60-meter hurdles.
Friday's prelims at the Golisano Training Center in Rochester, New York, are at 1:45 p.m. Should Hargrave finish in the top eight, she will race in Saturday's final at 3:10 p.m.
Hargrave is seeded 15th after lowering her school record to 8.79 at the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships. She earned a pair of all-conference honors this season with a third-place showing in the hurdles. Earlier in the championship, Hargrave scored 2,985 points in the pentathlon for a third-place showing.
Hargrave debuted at the national championships as a junior during the outdoor season. She became an All-American, thanks to an 11th-place time of 14.21 in the 100-meter hurdles.
Starting last year, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association expanded the Div. III All-America program to include the top 16 finishers at the national championships. The top eight earn first-team status, while places nine through 16 earn second-team certificates.
